Which Door or Window Frames are Compatible With Security Bars?

The first step in checking if your frames are compatible is to measure them. If you plan to install the saddle brackets, your frames will need a minimum of 1” of clear surface space on the frame and profile. Installation of the saddle bracket is essential for the 110 Security Bar and its proper use.
The second step is to determine how to mount the bar assembly securely according to the frame and profile type of your windows or patio doors. The four most common profiles, as portrayed in the image below, are Flat profiles, Side Grooved profiles, Center Grooved profiles, and All Grooved profiles. Each profile type comes with different installation methods, which you can learn more about in our instruction manuals. Note that the bar assembly will not be wholly and securely mounted on All Grooved profiles.
By following these two simple steps, you can determine whether the 110, 111, and 112 Security Bars are compatible with your door and window frames, and the appropriate installation methods for each type of frame.
