Can the SK601 system work on batteries only? What is the battery for?
The battery is a back up for power failures, providing 2 functions:
- Normal operation: If the alarm is triggered while on battery power it will operate normally as long as there is enough battery strength.
- Memory storage: It also protects all the stored information during a power failure. On a fresh battery, it will store information for 7 days.
