What type of lubricant should I use on my garage door rollers?

Residential garage doors are a pretty light duty application. In general, there is no need to add oil lubricant in the rollers.

But adding a light amount of petroleum based or synthetic oil (SAE 10 to SAE 30) could be helpful. We don't recommend using grease.
