Where Should I Use My Emergency Light?

Our new 636V2 Rechargeable Emergency Light is designed to light your way in the darkest of times. From power outages and blackouts to darkened attics with burnt-out bulbs, the 636V2 is capable of guiding you through the dark.

Making The Best Of Your Rechargeable Emergency Light Source

The 636V2 is primarily intended for residential applications, making it the perfect light source for times of crisis in homes and apartments. Moreover, it is intended for indoor use and cannot act as an outdoor light sensor or motion light source. The 636V2 shines brightest in dry, covered environments.

Ready at the first sign of darkness or a power outage, the 636V2 can and should remain plugged into a power outlet using the included AC charger. This is to ensure that the 636V2 remains fully powered to provide light for 21.5 to 48 continuous hours (dependent on the selected light intensity), and to allow the 636V2's "Emergency" function to kick in - once the 636V2 senses that no power is being provided, such as in the event of a power outage, the emergency LED light will automatically turn on.

Environments To Avoid For Your Emergency Light

Because the 636V2 operates as a battery-powered residential use emergency light, it is not required to pass through emergency light standards, such as UL standards or those set by the CSA. As such, we do not recommend that the 636V2 be used in commercial environments or as replacement for standardized emergency lights and exit lights.

Do not wire your 636V2 directly into an AC circuit, and do not mount the unit near gas or electric heaters.
